Goodwood Festival of Speed 2025

Last weekend we were extremely proud to see one of our Jimnys being displayed on the Pipercross stand at the world famous Goodwood Festival of Speed!

A handful of weeks ago, we received a quite urgent request from Pipercross: they'd secured a last minute display at Goodwood and wondered if one of our Jimnys would be available to display their new Jimny Air Intake kit! Of course, we said yes, and then thought about the implications later.

We made a few changes to the car to help it stand out at the event. After all, Festival of Speed is the sort of weekend where you will see many more McLaren F1s than Jimnys!

We replaced the existing and slightly tired 215/70R16 BF Goodrich KO2 tyres with another set in 235/70R16 sizing. While we always urge customers to stick with 215/70R16 in the name of weight saving, handling and fuel economy, there's no doubting that the 235s do look great, and provide the Jimny with a fantastic stance!

Pipercross had wisely noted that the Jimny definitely needed a splash of colour in order to stand out, so we dropped the car off at their Northamptonshire headquarters the week before the event and began to get excited about the finished product!

When we arrived at Goodwood on the final day of the event (Sunday), we were blown away by the Jimny as soon as we caught sight of it. Even more importantly, it was fantastic to see the car constantly surrounded by a crowd with people eager to learn more. At one point, I spotted a few people lay on their backs underneath the car; I'm not sure if they were trying to take a closer look at the ladder frame chassis, or simply trying to find a shaded spot to hide from the baking sun!

In hindsight, it was impossible to try and see all of the event in a single day. Next year, if we're lucky enough to be invited back, we'll try and leave two days to soak in the atmosphere and the thousands of incredible vehicles on display!
